The statewide Caring Communities Partnership initiative began in 1993 by Executive Order of Missouri's 

Governor.  In 1998 State coordinators and local individuals began working to form a Partnership in 

St. Francois County.  Our Partnership was officially recognized by the State of Missouri in January 2000. 

Since that time the Partnership has worked to improve the well-being of families and children by developing 

close, working relationships with local service providers, agencies, educators, and organizations.  This

collaboration has improved communications between agencies and fostered community programs and events

that benefit the well-being of children and families in St. Francois County.
